There Is Too Much Frustration Going On

Hello, I hope that you are well.  Wow, it is now three years that I have been writing this.  I am still loving it. Thanks to Cottingham Times for such a great magazine and thank YOU for your great feedback.

Who Are You Calling Frustrated?

Well, a lot of the time it is ME!  Over the years I have seen so many adults with crooked teeth that they want straightening.  BUT, in the past the only options have been either tooth grinding for crown or veneers or fixed braces and a long treatment time.  Most adults don’t want fixed braces on for 2 years or so particularly if they are metal.  Who wants a lot of tooth grinding? Not me.
This can lead to frustration as people want something else, and understandably so.

Come On Then. What Else Is There?

Let me explain. Just less than 2 years ago I raved on about The Inman Aligner.  This is a removable brace to rapidly straighten front teeth and I love it. It works a treat. BUT, it does have its limitations.   The beauty of the Inman is that you can take it out, but if leave it out it doesn’t work. Clear Aligners like Invisalign can take ages and have limitations.

Mmmm.  So we can still be frustrated then. 

How about a clear fixed brace that will do the job in 4 to 9 months (typically in 6) rather than two years?  
And not only that. How about a clear fixed brace that can overcome a lot of the limitations of the other braces?  This is where the Six Month Smile system comes in.

Now Please Don’t Get Me Wrong

Six Month Smile is NOT comprehensive orthodontics and definitely not for kids.  Orthodontists are highly trained and get teeth into the idealised positions.  This is the gold standard.  As I said, a lot of people that I see do not really want this, as it can take too long.  They would be happy with much straighter teeth in much less time.
The real benefit of Six Month Smile is just that. It is a realistic improvement in a shorter period of time rather than an idealistic result that takes longer.  Busy people don’t have time!
